Northwest Houston Sees New Activity

An area near Houston's FM 1960 and US 290 has recently seen a burst of activity in terms of development after several years of slow growth. LJA is acting as district engineer on two Municipal Utility Districts in the "hot zone."

For M.U.D. 248, LJA recently reviewed drawings and provided construction phase services for the development of a Best Western hotel and an IHOP restaurant.

For the 500-acre M.U.D. 222, LJA participated in the preliminary design work for a professional office building, an ambulatory center planned to serve a new hospital of the Memorial Sisters of Charity, and two sections of a residential community known as Wortham Estates and Wortham Grove. Final design will be completed in 1997.
