Construction Begins in League City Community

The first public clearing contract has been started on Magnolia Creek Development, a 900-acre golf course community in League City, Texas. LJA is providing complete engineering services for water, sanitary sewer, drainage, and paving design, along with construction phase services for each construction project.

LJA has been working with K.W. Interests L.L.C. since March of 1999 on Phase One of the community. The design projects for Phase One include the extension of Bay Area Boulevard, a phase one lift station, a detention channel, and four residential subdivisions totaling 180 lots. "This project represents our continuing involvement in the League City area," said LJA Project Manager, Wallace Trochesset.

Clearing for the golf course is already under construction and the first 27 holes are scheduled to open in the fall of 2000. Said Lynn Watkins of K.W. Interests, "We are very pleased to be developing a top quality master planned community along with a championship quality golf course for the west side of the city."

Magnolia Creek development is located south of FM 518 with the existing Bay Area Boulevard terminating along the project's northern boundary.
