Daniel (Dan) J.C. Copps, III, PE, has been promoted to Vice President. In this position, Dan will lead the Houston Transportation Division in the Public Infrastructure Department of LJA.

Dan joined LJA in February 2006 and has served as Highway/Bridge Division Manager. During that time, his leadership was instrumental in expanding the group to its current size. He has been successful in securing contracts with TxDOT Districts, Port of Houston Authority, Harris County Toll Road Authority, and Montgomery County.

Dan has more than 25 years of experience in highways and bridge projects, port projects, airport projects, rail projects and seismic retrofit. His experience encompasses roadway design, hydrology and hydraulics including pump stations, and structural design and analysis, including long span exotic bridges. His responsibilities have included project management, design supervision, project engineering, structural design, civil design, specification development, cost estimating and construction phase services.

Dan is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Texas and California. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
