The professional experience of the Public Works staff encompasses all phases of planning, design, and construction management for water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection and distribution systems, roadways, drainage facilities, airport and military facilities, and public and private buildings. This experience includes the following:
Wastewater Treatment Facilities and Collection Systems - including Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), collection lines, trunk lines, force mains, lift stations, system rehabilitation and treatment facilities for municipal, agricultural, and industrial wastes, and service connections. LJA's WWTP experience includes over 50 projects ranging from 0.2 MGD to 60 MGD capacities; recent projects include the design of Wastewater Treatment Plants ranging in size from 4 MGD, 6 MGD, 10 MGD, to 16 MGD, and seven plants at less than 3.0 MGD.
Water Treatment - including canal/conveyance systems, distribution systems, storage facilities, treatment facilities, and distribution systems for both ground and surface water supplies.
Roadways - including design and construction management of roadways according to local and county standards as well as highways, major thoroughfares and bridges to state (TxDOT) and national codes. Road design services include asphalt and concrete pavement, new construction, replacement and rehabilitation.
Drainage and Hydrologic - including master drainage plans, studies, designs, and the construction of systems to control drainage of surface waters, canals and rainfall run-off for residential subdivisions, regional detention facilities and county flood control. Drainage Services include master planning, flood control channels, storm sewers and roadside ditches.
Other Civil Projects - including airports, military facilities, municipal infrastructure, and public and private buildings.
