James has 16 years of civil engineering experience including engineering design and management. He has worked on numerous land development projects and has provided excellent leadership for successful projects utilizing his engineering and business acumen. His experience includes feasibility studies, creation of construction plans and documents for underground utilities and paving for subdivisions, construction phase services, roadway reconstruction and widening, and serving as a District Engineer for various MUDs and TIRZs.
James, who has been with LJA for 15 years, currently supervises engineering operations and manages the design and construction of land development projects in Shadow Creek Ranch, a 3,300-acre, master-planned community in Pearland; El Dorado, a 412-acre community in Clear Lake City; Southlake, a 315-acre tract in Pearland; the Preserve at Highland Glen project for Beazer Homes in Pearland; and a 12,000-acre master-planned community in Fort Bend County and Waller County. In addition, his position involves interacting with clients and managing the coordination process with various governmental agencies.
