Jim Wendt is a registered architect with more than 30 years of experience in the Sustainable Design approach to Community and Town Planning, Master Planning, Mixed-Use Design and Urban Planning, facilitating comprehensive approaches to conceptual design and programming with project participation at all levels of design and production. Jim has depth of experience in development and architectural standards preparation, market research coordination, economic analysis, leisure budgeting and facilities planning. Jim was an original member of The Woodlands "New Town" planning team and essentially has been involved with this 28,000 acre development his entire professional career. He served as Director of Residential Design and Senior Staff Planner for The Woodlands Corporation. Jim is a member of the AIA, ULI, and has served on several DRC's as well as Community Association Boards within The Woodlands.
As part of the curriculum at Rice University School of Architecture, where Jim earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Architecture, he also experienced working for The Urban Development Corporation in New York, N.Y.
